Alternatives to Facebook

sarah_tvI've reached the point of frustration. I would just like a Social Website to not try to screw me over every time I look around. I *need* personal identity Aliases. It's how I identify with my fan bases, it's how I identify myself as a person. I am not my Birth Name, not really. It's a name I use because Mundane People understand it. I need my fan names. I need my artistic name. I not want to agree to screwing myself over because you can't agree to your own TOS, Facebook. I am done with the Shifting Of Ownerships.
.... So, does anyone else have any suggestions (And if you are still here to talk to, bless you all) of where to go, that is a) Socially active, b) TOS friendly, and c) semi-relveant? I need FB because of Family, but I need a better Social Network, both for my friends and my artwork.
