NATG XV prompt set 5, Run To The Hills

Day 2 it was pony moving and walking, Day 4 it was pony trotting and walking and now for Day 5 it's sprinting and running for their lives. The record is skipping, skipping, skipping. 9_9 But... Running for their lives? That's Iron Maiden, 1982! Run to the hills, run for your lives. This appeals to my inner rage at genocide and my annoyance at getting asked for the same thing three times out of five. So there you are, album art from Iron Maiden, Run To The Hills. Run for your lives!

NATG Day 3 option two: brave face and Day 4's trotting/scenic walk

It's prompt 4 time but I wanted to try the "putting on a brave face" option in the previous prompt. There are still problems (like head was supposed to be turned slightly) but it's better than the 'funny face' attempt.

I still managed to crank out a drawing for Day 4: pony trotting / on a scenic walk. I forgot to use the clearly trotting model for the stride and the eyes might be too small but it's fine for a quick and dirty protest drawing. Protest? Why yes! Prompt 2 also called for moving / walking the walk. So here you are, a cross pony dragging my drawing for Prompt 2. It's déjà vu all over again. *shakes hoof*

NATG XV prompt 3

Better muzzle, nostrils OK but not the eye-like nostrils from day 1, can't get my eyes the same size (maybe I should use a template or a bottle cap). The prompt asked for facial expressions, I went with "funny expression", expecting it to be easier. Not sure how to fill in the nostrils and ears. Black? Brown? Pink?

Still trying to get the drawings flowing. I keep stalling. This prompt is for "on the move" and "walking the walk".

NATG XV, Standing

It's day 1 of the annual Newbie Artist Training Ground. I'm again attempting to morph Generation 4 My Little Pony cartoon entities into a somewhat realistic equivalent, this time with round pupils. Silly people are nuts for cat's eyes but horse eyes, not so much.

This year there will be only 15 tasks with 48 hours to complete each one. This first one is "Draw a pony standing // Draw a pony planting their hooves". I'm just phoning the first one in (I drew it last week) as I recover from the working weekend. If I can get my mojo alight, I'll try for the hoof planting thing.
