Dear Conservative Friend,
Maybe you are really upset and bitter right now. That's fine and okay. I was, too, from time to time. Attacking me for defending my point of view? That's uncalled for.
Blaming me for citing articles and not thinking for myself? Do you really think that's what happened? I spent *TIME* finding the articles that recalled exactly how things were, so we could discuss, debate, or argue on equal understanding. I could have spend *DAYS* looking for an archive to prove my facts, since so much time had passed that you had forgotten what had came before. The ones I could find, you decided they were not relevant for your world view. I spent *HOURS* bridging the gap, looking for at least common ground, which I feel we did, at one point.
However, you can't separate yourself from the major political force. You wouldn't even try. You sided with the Republicans, and their misguided crusade. You sided with the Religious Nut jobs, who would kill me, my friends, and my family, if the law was not in the way, and want to impose their version of the bible as law upon people. You sided with Business Owners who said they would rather close shop and sit on their savings, than hire if Obama was re-elected. You stood on the side that said that rape didn't matter. You stood on the side that wants to prevent freedom on the internet. You stood on the side that is afraid of any love that isn't between a man and a woman. You stood on the side that thinks that a nation is not responsible for it's people. You stood on the side that would say anything to not look bad.
Yes, you're angry. Maybe if you could have gotten your party to shout louder, to lead the way out of the hell that is the Republican Party, you could have stood a chance. However, you choose to side with the party that wants to separate themselves from the responsibility their party created over having majority control of the power for four decades. People who shift the blame of this nation onto others who have held the power for under half as long in that time period.
I welcome you to feel hurt, but it's the Republican Party that needs to change. You just need to be more forthcoming with what you believe in, and get your party to make a stronger statement. Just as I will be pushing my party through letters to my personal political party to get actual representatives and senators that will get more change done than my incumbent Congressionals will do.
For truely, I do not hate you. You I believe are acting in harm of yourself, and I worry about you. There are people who do deserve my hate, and they'll be notified if and when they ever enter my circle. However, you do not.
Think of this as you will.
