Okay... so I've been asked if I would like to run a game, and I go 'Sure, I'll run a game', because at this point, I am desperate to run ANYTHING... So I've been asked to run 4E.

So I ask, "Hey, what kind of game would you like?", and they went all "I wanna do Intrigue", and I figure that's a good fit for the Flow World that I've been developing on and off, and I figure that I could work in political stuff, and I can keep the person who wants to play the assassin happy, and I can figure out what to do about the Powergamer of the group later.

... What I didn't quite expect was that everyone wanted to play real monsters. I have a Revenant, a Vampire, a Warforged, and a token Human in the group. So, the way I am currently looking at it, is that we aren't having Guild on Guild action anymore, like they were suggesting. Since, you know, they're unliving monsters.

That doesn't seem to be *that* big of a deal, though. I created a Society called, for now and lack of a better name, the Society of Immortality, which is all about living forever, by any means nessecary. So, the warforge becomes a souljar'd person, the Vamp and the Revenant are fine, and the Human... I'll talk to the player later.

So, we have a society that wants to not die, and live forever, living on the furthest outpost of Civilization Possible, who's goals are to find new ways of living forever. Maybe lift a curse, get rid of a geas, that kind of thing, but mainly just hide out and live the good undeath.

Now, it should be noted that I have at least one Organization that are dedicated Monster Hunters in the setting. The Mousers are a known group, and have been given to the players in a list of important people and groups. So they are aware of that.

I also have a tendency to think that these players are going to want to go and do very irresponcible things, mainly because I'm an unknown quality of DM, and I've not actually told them "No, don't be evil/Bad guys". Which I'm not.

Which brings me to this problem. YOu see, when I think of Intrigue, I think of Political Manuevering. People lying to each other's faces while agents go and do things. I played L5R for a while. While the group is telling me "Yes, I want to have Roleplaying Situations", I'm not so sure their choices of Race/Class is telling the same story.

So my question to you, my non-players who play these kinds of games, is what kind of Allies can this group expect to obtain, in a city which quite frankly has it's own political problems, and isn't going to play well with a mysterious faction messing up things.

Boy, I have stats to generate here.
